For three days every May, the Clerkenwell area of London hosts Clerkenwell Design Week, and comes alive with various installations and exhibitions from leading designers and architects from the UK and around the globe.
We were lucky enough to attend one sunny afternoon, and were blown away by the design talent, from both established companies and up and coming entreprenuers.
Our favourite part was the 'Platform' show in the House of Detention, a subterranean venue which was used to showcase up and coming design talent. We were wowed by Lego artist David Hughes (see pic) and inspired by family-run furniture company Frances Bradley who make furniture from live-edge wood and resin.
Clerkenwell Design week is totally free to attend (you just need to register beforehand) and is awash with tasty freebies of all kinds. If you're looking to spend a day in a design wonderland, make sure you attend in 2018. See you there?
